Mayonnaise Cake

2 C flour, sifted
1 C sugar
1 C mayonnaise
1/2 C water
1/2 C evaporated milk
4 T cocoa
2 t baking soda
1 t vanilla

Sift dry ingredients together. Add remaining ingredients and stir lightly to blend.
Bake in 2 8 inch pans at 350 for 30 minutes.

Cooks Note: Dorothy sometimes makes a 3 layer cake by adding half again to the ingredients. 
She uses white, vanilla or cream cheese icing.

They have been making this cake for 70 years!
