Healthy Turkey Chili with Beans

1pound of lean ground turkey

1 med. onion chopped

1/2 green pepper chopped

1/2 red pepper chopped

2 small cans of tomato sauce

1can of water

1large 15 oz can of diced tomatoes

1 can of black beans drained

1 can of white kidney beans drained

1 can of red kidney beans drained

1 teaspoon of house seasoning ( recipe on this web site)

1 table spoon of chili powder

1 teaspoon of hot mexican chili powder

2 heaping teaspoons of cumin

1 heaping teaspoon of cinnamon (yes that's what I said)

2 teaspoons of Worchestershire Sauce

1 Tablespoon of olive oil

In a large pot, place oil and peppers,& onions cook until hot and then add the ground turkey, cook until turkey is no longer pink. Add remaining ingredients and stir well.

Cook in the pot on med low for 2 hours, turning down temp if it starts to boil.

OR....put in the crock pot early in the day on low until you come home from work.

Great with polenta, or corn bread.

This is a more healthy version because we are using Turkey and veggies (peppers) to fill you up.
